Mnangagwa has extended the Zimbabwe is open for business to his Zanu PF by allowing a ‘free for all’ run for elections given by the diversity of candidates in his party a lot of which could not have stand a chance under former president Robert Mugabe’s administration.
While it is commendable that he has opened the door for people from all races to be part of Zimbabwe’s new dispensation some questionable characters with checkered pasts have taken the opportunity to swim with the wave.

Who is Campion Mugweni? A Zimbabwean man who was jailed for five and half years in the USA for $ 1 965 637 fraud is now fighting to represent Zanu PF in Mazowe North.
Campion Mugweni(above) admitted that from October 2006 until April 2007 he schemed with others to prepare and electronically file fraudulent income tax returns by using personal identification information without authorisation, and then used those fraudulent tax returns, which showed that refunds were owed to the taxpayers, as a basis for obtaining fraudulent refund anticipation loans from banks.
Mugweni was jailed and later deported to Zimbabwe.
