The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released the name of the victim who died when a building collapsed in the Harare Central Business District near the Gulf Complex yesterday.
In a statement ZRP spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the victim was positively identified by next kin as Yolanda Hodzi.
He also said six others were injured in the incident and are admitted at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.

This is Yolanda Hodzi, the young lady who tragically passed away when a building collapsed on Chinhoyi Street in Harare’s Central Business District near Gulf Complex on April 6th, 2024, around 15:30 hours. She was seeking shelter from a hailstorm on the pavement of the building. Additionally, six other people were injured, and three vehicles parked in front of the building were damaged.
