Retired Major General (Rtd) Douglas Nyikayaramba has died.
He becomes the third coup general to succumb to Covid-19.
He was 64.
The retired gen was forced out of the army last year.
He was appointed Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Mozambique.
Meanwhile, the Zanu PF leadership in Mavingo has requested President Emmerson Mnangagwa to confer liberation war hero status to the late ruling party Central Committee member Clemence Makwarimba who died on Sunday.
Apparently, Mnangagwa has filled ministerial positions following the death of Sibusiso Moyo and Joel Biggie Matiza.
