The official international code for Zimbabwe’s currency before the introduction of Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) ZWL, expires today.
After ZiG, the International Standards Organization (ISO) gave Zimbabwe a new code, ZWG.
As the old ZWL code expires today, banks are moving to the new code, ZWG.
Codes are used in international transactions to identify different currencies.
