Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera has fired his Energy Minister, Newton Kambala and took over the ministry himself.
Kambala has reportedly been sacked for corruption.
As stated by Investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono Kambala was caught up in a deals for bungs scandal!
He is accused of attempting to influence Hellen Buluma to prioritise 4 specific companies in fuel importation deals last year.
