Former Zanu PF strongman and ex-cabinet minister Didymus Mutasa whose house furniture is now being auctioned this weekend over debts owed to his lawyers opened up on his financial struggles.
The former minister says he is unable to pay his debts because he did not steal while in government.
“When I was in government I did not steal even a penny like others and soon I won’t be able to buy food for my family,” he said on Wednesday.
Mutasa was dragged to court after he failed to settle a $27000 bill with his lawyers.
He lost all his luxury SUV vehicles to creditors last year and has been struggling to pay his children’s school fees for their primary education ever since.
