2026 World Cup Hosting Awarded To Mexico, Canada and United States
MOSCOW: The world’s football governing body, FIFA, has awarded the 2026 World Cup to USA, Canada and Mexico who are to host the event jointly.
Morocco has lost the opportunity to bring the World Cup to Africa for the second time after South Africa hosted the event in 2010.
FIFA had to choose between the Moroccan Football Association and the joint bid by the Canadian Soccer Association, the Mexican Football Association and the United States Soccer Federation.
The Moroccan bid got 65 votes against 135.
