SINGAPORE: North Korean state media have raised the possibility that the isolated country could “establish a new relationship” with the United States.

It comes a day before North Korean leader Kim Jong-un meets US President Donald Trump for historic talks in Singapore.

The two leaders arrived yesterday for the first ever face to face talks between a sitting United States president and a North Korean leader.

The US leader tweeted this morning that there was “excitement in the air” in Singapore ahead of the summit.

The United States want North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons.

North Korea has a list of grievances  against the world’s only superpower.

Kim arrived in style aboard a luxury Chinese plane while his support staff and limousines arrived in a separate jumbo.
