Denmark is closing it’s embassy in Zimbabwe in order to focus on productive emerging markets.

All consulate and diplomatic services will now be handled by the Danish Mission in Pretoria, South Africa.

This is not the first time after several other western embassies shut their Zimbabwe operations due to on-going political and economic problems that have been on since the turn of the century.

All  Danish relations with Zimbabwe will be handled by the Danish Embassy in Pretoria from 1 January 2017.

Danish Visas will be processed by the French Embassy.

Zimbabwe receives a lot of aid from Denmark and there is no indication that this relationship will be ending as well.

There are unconfirmed reports suggesting that the country may establish an  honorary consulate in Harare.
