Tsholotsho has been the hardest hit area in Zimbabwe following the rise in surface water levels in the wake of heavy rains that have been pouring over the last few days.

Airforce of Zimbabwe has already deployed two helicopters to help people trapped by floods.

Higher Education Minister Jonathan Moyo twitted earlier today that one of the choppers could not complete its mission after it got trapped by floods.

“One of the two Air Force helicopters in Tsholotsho deployed today to rescue at least 50 families marooned by floods in Ward 6,” Moyo said via twitter.

Minister Saviour Kasukuwere has been seen in the affected areas coordinating rescue efforts with the National Civil Protection Unit.
