Zimbabwe Warriors draw with Zambia 0-0 in a friendly

 

Zimbabwe played a goalless draw against Zambia national football team.

Norman Mapeza’s was in charge of the squad following the departure of Calisto Pasuwa.

The Warriors were a little disjointed and not at their best.

Zambia looked more likely to score in the second half but there were no goals at final whistle…

5 November 2016 match ..In a friendly soccer match played today at Rufaro stadium between Zimbabwe Warriors and Zambia Chipolopolo football team, the host nation won by a single goal to nil.

Teeenage Hadebe scored the solitary goal in the 55th minute.

Calisto Pasuwa’s man used the match to prepare for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon in January.

Local based players were used as the game was played outside the FIFA friendlies window that allows foreign based players to be used.

Zimbabwe is in a tough Afcon group where they will play Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal.

These teams will come with talented European based players that will test warriors to the utmost limit.
