In a puzzling scenario, a 30-year old female Zimbabwean from the second city of Bulawayo has been caged on charges of aggravated indecent assault amid reports that she had sexual intercourse with her son, a juvenile, aged just six.

In comments posted on Twitter, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed that the woman forced her infant child into sex, ‘several times on different occasions from January to 13 March 2022’.

“Police in Bulawayo have arrested a woman (30) for aggravated indecent assault in which she allegedly had sexual intercourse with her son, an infant aged six, several times on different occasions from January to 13 March 2022,’ tweeted the police.

The ZRP also added that the offence was revealed after the victim who had been reported missing, made a report at ZRP West Commonage in Bulawayo.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident from the same city, three suspected carjackers were arrested following the recovery of three vehicles, suspected to have been stolen from neighbouring South Africa.

Said the ZRP in a statement:

“Police in Bulawayo arrested Nkosiyabo Bekithemba Mbambo(29), Karl Jodack Herbert (26) and Nomathemba Ncube (26) and recovered three SA registered vehicles, a Toyota Prado, Toyota Fortuner and a Toyota Hilux suspected to have been stolen from SA.”

“The trackers for all the three vehicles were found disconnected and one of the suspects was found in possession of a fake Malawian Passport and fake vehicle registration books. Investigations are underway,” the police added.
