Zimbabwe vs Botswana: warriors win 3-1 on penalties after Chigova saves 3 spotkicks

Zimbabwe is through to the semi finals of 2018 COSAFA Cup after overcoming a stubborn Botswana in penalty shootouts.

The Warriors saw most of the ball in the opening stages of the game and they nearly grabbed an early lead through outgoing Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Billiat.

The tricky forward burst into the Zebras box and he unleashed a low shot which was well-saved by goalkeeper Masule, who is on the books of Township Rollers.

Sunday Marimo’s side took the lead through Evans Rusike after 39 minutes. He was sent through on goal by Billiat

The Zebras levelled the scores in 61 minutes after Makgantai headed a corner. With either side missing chances the match ended one all and Botswana bowed out after failing to convert three spot kicks.
