About 600 Mozambican families have now built temporary shelters in Chipinge, Zimbabwe  following a spate of attacks in Manicaland Mozambique.

Many crossed into Zimbabwe with their cattle and goats which have been targeted for slaughter by Renamo bandits.

A man who refused to be named told reporters that Renamo rebels have been going door to door in their village demanding cash and clothing.

Their behaviour is shocking especially to local communities they are  on mission to liberate.

Zimbabwe government has recieved aid from from a United Nations agency to shelter and feed the refugees.

More are expected to cross into Manicaland and Mutare areas for better security and education for their children in UN run refugee schools in eastern highlands Zimbabwe.
