A Piper 31 NAVAJO plane registration Z-DAL crashes in Featherstone-Chivhu near Beatrice

There was very little information and just two incident pictures when Zwnews.com broke the news of a plane crash near Chivhu Monday evening.

We reported that a light aircraft belonging to Murowa Diamonds crashed Monday afternoon near Beatrice area. The plane is a Piper 31 NAVAJO.

Zim police confirm incident, Investigate crash

Police are investigating a plane crash, which happened in the Featherstone area in Chivhu yesterday.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the crash and said two people were injured and were rushed to Beatrice Hospital where they were stabilised.

“Two people on the plane survived the crash and were taken to Beatrice Hospital. They were transferred to another health facility for further treatment,” he said.

Assistant Commissioner Nyathi said the police were by late last night still working on establishing more details on the plane crash.
