One to be guilty of civil infringement for selling goods at 10% above bank rate

A Statutory Instrument (SI) has been gazetted stating that one will be guilty of a civil infringement if, being a seller of goods or services, offers goods or services at an exchange rate above 10% the prevailing interbank rate published by the RBZ.

S.I. 118A of 2022 states that: “A natural or legal person shall be guilty of a civil infringement if he or she, being a seller of goods or services, offers such goods or services at an exchange rate above ten per centum the prevailing interbank rate published by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.”
