Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, who recently had attempted rape and assault charges against him dropped, is expecting a child with his partner, Harriet Robson. This news that broke just hours ago has sickened fans. It is said that the pregnancy might have been the reason for the charges to be dropped. One fan commented, “That explains the whole dropped charges then.”

It is reported that since his charges have been dropped, Greenwood is desperate to return to first-team soccer at Manchester United. He wants to return as quickly as possible in order to rebuild his career. The 21-year-old was a fan favorite at United but his situation has obviously seen him fall down the pecking order. There are also reports that claim some of the United’s women’s team members oppose the possibility of this.

Natalie Burrell, the founder of the United Women’s Supporters’ Club, said this about Greenwood returning.

“United need to make a statement and letting him back would be the worst thing they could do. I don’t want to see him training, in a kit, or coming out at Old Trafford again. And I’m confident they won’t (let him).”

Greenwood came through United’s youth system and became one of the most lethal finishers on the team. He has made 83 appearances for United in the Premier League and scored 22 goals while assisting four.

His family are said to be aware of the fact and are “looking forward” to the birth of their child.

According to recent report, the striker wants to return to the Man United first-team squad as soon as possible.
