Why Kwekwe is bad news for Mnangagwa
Though he is the most well known businessman and politician from the town; Kwekwe is a rough political terrain for President Mnangagwa who suffered humiliating loses in 2001 and 2008 parliamentary elections to Blessing Chebundo of the Movement for Democratic Change(MDC-T).
Fearing another embarrassment Mnangagwa threw in the towel in 2013 and retreated to rural areas where he contested in the newly created Chirumanzu-Zibagwe area.
