Zimbabwe Warriors coach Calisto Pasuwa has not given up on England based Brendan Zibusiso Galloway and Tendayi Darikwa of English Premier League sides Everton and Burnley.
He is also keen to get the services of Ipswich born, Macauley Bonne, who plays for English League Two’s Colchester.
While Macauley has been involved with the Warriors in a friendly with Morocco in which he scored, the other two are not committed and seem to be betting on getting into the England senior squad.
Pasuwa is especially keen to get Galloway and Darikwa who play as attacking right and left backs for their respective clubs.
However, he is likely to be disappointed as there is very little chance of the two joining Zimbabwe Warriors in January 2017 at Gabon Afcon finals.
Galloway has been called to play for England under 21 in Euro Qualifiers while the Nottingham born Tendayi Darikwa is likely to stick with his club as they enjoy life in top flight English football.
Pasuwa is optimistic that one day his man will troop home and follow footsteps of people like Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar who played for Zimbabwe’s Dream Team.
“But we will try to reconsider them in the build-up to the January tournament if they are available. They might have made a decision on the national team they want to play for,” said Pasuwa.
