Below is a message and pictures posted by Ezra Sibanda pertaining to today’s violence in Lupane, Matebeleland North, Zimbabwe.
MDC Vice President Thokozani Khupe and other top MDC officials have been involved in running battles with Police and teargased in Lupane West ward 9 Mat North Province. They were in a Party program mobilizing people to go and register as voters in preparation for the 2018 election.
Today’s incident come at a time when there are strong suspicions that Mugabe’s Zanu PF government is not willing to encourage and support thousands of Zimbabweans to register to vote.
These are mainly young people with very little connection with the revolutionary part, Zanu PF.
