The dispute over child custody between Nathan ‘MC Natty’ Chadyomwana, a renowned Master of Ceremonies, and his ex-wife, Hazel Zimuto, has escalated to court.
The couple has been separated for two years, and their battle centers on their three minor children, aged 11, 4, and 10 months.
MC Natty is fighting for custody, arguing that his ex-wife is incapable of caring for the children.
The case will be heard at Chitungwiza Magistrates’ Court the following week. In court documents, MC Natty claims he should have custody as he can provide for the children.
However, Hazel disagrees, insisting that the children need their mother’s love.
He married the bride of a wedding he officiated at three years ago.
MC Natty performed at the wedding of Tafadzwa and her former husband Blessing.
Three years later, MC Natty married Tafadzwa.
It is believed MC Natty and Tafadzwa were married on September 24 last year.
The custody battle arose after MC Natty’s wedding photos with his new wife, Tafadzwa, went viral.
Hazel claims that MC Natty was abusive and stopped paying school fees before their separation.
Moreover, he refused to take their children to the hospital when they fell sick. Nathan left Hazel when she was three months pregnant, and he is failing to pay US$50 maintenance, yet he is claiming custody of the children.
Nathan, on the other hand, says he is being denied access to his children despite legal orders.
He argues that Hazel has failed to care for their children and that he can provide for them if granted custody.
