South African scientists say a new variant of the Covid-19 virus has “concerning constellations of mutations.”
The C.1.2 variant of SARS-CoV-2 has been detected in 6 of South Africa’s 9 provinces.
The same variant was also detected in England, China, DRC, Mauritius and New Zealand.
