A secret document crafted by exiled former Cabinet Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo which planned and gave direction to a grand coalition between Former President Robert Mugabe and MDC-Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa to defeat Mnangagwa has leaked.
The concept which proposed a Grand National Union in the run up to the 2018 harmonized elections was handed over to the dreaded Central Intelligence Organization by Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe President Dr. Shingi Munyeza
Some of the parts say:
It should be noted that whereas Advocate Nelson Chamisa and the MDC that he leads will bring a considerable and strategic electoral base, there is need for that base to be complemented by President Mugabe’s decisive influence over the traditional ZANU PF electoral base. In particular but not limited to these cases, President Mugabe remains the leading voice in the electoral strongholds of Mashonaland West, Central and East Provinces without which it is impossible for anyone to win a presidential election in Zimbabwe.
In the circumstances, the pre-election GNU needs to be based on a pre-election pact with at least three principals. The pact should specify the Presidential candidate will be from the MDC Alliance, namely Advocate Nelson Chamisa. One deputy with political and government experience, capable of discharging the responsibility of gatekeeping in GNUs will be nominated by President Mugabe as a representative of the National Patriotic Front.
Commenting on the leaked documents Prof Moyo said:
“The leaked parts appear legitimate but parts of a document are not the document. Meanwhile, no prize for guessing the informant who gave the document to CIO & Junta operatives who have leaked parts of the document.”
In the past weekend Prof Moyo revealed that Dr Munyeza was the one taking minutes during the meetings with President Mugabe and afterwards he would take the minutes to the CIO and the military.
Moyo described Munyeza as a dangerous CIO and double agent.
