The SADC Mission in Mozambique (Samim) says it has achieved full operational capability and recording some success.
The Sadc Standby Force was launched on 9 August for an initial three months which could be extended, depending on how the fight on extremists evolves.
Mozambique is under attack from terrorists.
This saw many people being killed while others were displaced.
