Movement for Democratic Change Tsvangirai (MDC-T) has sponsored constitutional court application seeking to stop holding of 28 National Assembly and 121 municipal by-elections.
Tapera Sengweni, MDC-T legal adviser, maintains that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) failed to hold elections within timeframe, and country can’t afford what he terms a mini-election.
