In a bloody incident which occurred Tuesday this week, an axe-wielding 33-year old man from Gwanda, in Matabeleland South Province, is alleged of being responsible for the fatal attack on two people from the area, resulting in the death of a 68-year old woman while his male victim sustained injuries.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has identified the accused murderer, who is already in their custody, as Albert Ncube.
The country’s policing authorities took to their handle on the microblogging social networking platform, Twitter, to announce the gruesome killing which occurred on the 29th of March.
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of Albert Ncube (33) in connection with cases of murder and attempted murder which occurred at a house in Spitzkop North Extension, Gwanda on 29/03/22,” said the ZRP.
The police also added to their thread, tweeting:
The suspect fatally attacked two victims with an axe resulting in the death of a woman (68) and injury of a man (21) after a misunderstanding.”
