Following his arrest upon his return to Zimbabwe, Mawarire has suddenly won the hearts of many people who once labelled him a fake.

Social media was buzzing with news that the strikes and shutdowns are back in again.

His supporters also pointed out that without him, things have gone strangely quite and he is a real man with courage to stand against “cowards and villains running Zimbabwe down”.

They might have taken it from EFF leader, Julius Malema who recently labelled Zanu PF as a bunch of useless cowards who are led by a Grandpa, President Robert Mugabe.

Below are comments from Zimbabweans on Mawarire’a bravery:

1, There is no controversy in Pastor Mawarire. The Zanu regime is the one that is fraught with controversies. Mawarire is a very respectable and courageous man; one of the few who have faced the evil regime in the face and told them to let, “the people go”. You on the other hand are a coward, lying to yourself and the whole world just to put food on your table. You are literally supping with the devil by misleading people with your blatant lies. You are going to pay for all the lies that you are spewing

2, I don’t hate Mugabe personally, I hate how he has abused the office of the presidency for his personal gain and destroyed the livelihoods of millions of defenseless Zimbabweans who are now living in foreign countries. I also hate how he abused the power that he has over the security sector to massacre thousands of my people (AmaNdebele). I don’t see how a man of your stature and intelligence can continue to support this despot.

3, Our political ideologies are different, you support a man who cannot barely walk or visit the loo without assistance and you want that nearly 100 year old man to lead the country into the future which the chances of him being there is close to nil.

4, With all due respect that is neither here nor there. We need people right here in Zimbabwe to speak up. Those that spoke up in the past have tasted the forbidden fruit of corruption offered by the king of corruption.
