The Meteological Services Department of Zimbabwe has started cloud-seeding in order to encourage rainfall after crops, especially late-planted crops, are showing signs of growing moisture stress due to a prolonged dry spell.
The dry spell has been prolonged and leaving most crops on the verge of collapse.
This is threatening the country’s food security.
