Renowned investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono says he has been informed that ZANU PF is planning to arrest him when he returns from abroad.
He says, the ruling party believes that he is planning to run for parliament in the 2023 elections.
“I have been informed by 2 callers that ZANUPF has decided to get me arrested for my Geneva speech.
“The informants told me that ZANUPF thinks that I will run for parliament.
“The arrest is meant to stop me.
“I have asked my travel agent to book me on a flight to Harare tomorrow,” he says.
Meanwhile, Chin’ono is on record saying he is not interested in any political office.
