Zimbabwe Republic Police have been accused of brutality and it has become a cause for concern to the citizens in and around cities who fear for their lives as attested by the viral social media videos.
A number of pictures and videos of police brutality have gone viral on the social media, the latest being of a tout run-over by an omnibus during a scuffle with the police trying to stop them from deflating an omnibus tyre.
This has caused an outcry by the citizens who need justice to be served.
However the police have disclaimed all the allegations.
ZRP spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said that the issue is suspicious because no one filed a complaint but however the police have been assigned to investigate the matter.
