South African swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker has broken the world record.
Schoenmarker (24) won the women’s 200metre breaststroke, to bag Africa’s second gold medal in the waters at the Tokyo Games.
This follows Tunisian Ahmed Hafnaoui’s triumphant in the men’s 400m freestyle.
