A Kwekwe based activist who recently released a song, ‘Musadherere Povo’, which takes a jibe at Zimbabwe First Lady Grace Mugabe for suggesting that even if President Robert Mugabe dies his corpse will win elections, has promised another hit.
In an interview yesterday, the song writer Emmanuel Nkosilathi Moyo said another hit song targeting the corrupt President Robert Mugabe’s government is imminent.
“I will release another song sometime this year titled, ‘Mwari muriko here…seiko tichitambudzwa neZanu Munyerere,” he said.
Meanwhile, the song, ‘Musadherere Povo’, is a direct attack to Grace Mugabe’s much publicised Zanu PF rally in Buhera last month were she said even if Mugabe dies, his corpse could be fielded as the party’s presidential candidate and still win elections.
In the song Moyo implores Mugabe’s wife not to take people for granted by suggesting that her husband could rule the country from the grave.
The human right activist opens the song with the lyrics, ‘Muromo hauzarurwi ne rwizi, musadherere masimba epovo amai ndiyo yambiro yangu kwamuri, musadherere povo ndati amama musadaro……makati chitunha chavo ndicho chichatonga, vapenyu varipo, matishoreiko amai….,’ which loosely translates to mean Grace should not underestimate the power of the people by suggesting that the corpse of her husband would rule the country.
The reggae-beat song was released this week and is now available online.
