Botswana-born actor and filmmaker Shona Ferguson has died aged 47, a family spokesman confirmed.

He passed away at Milpark private hospital in Johannesburg this Friday afternoon.

He was a well-known businessman, executive producer, and co-founder of Ferguson Films. The media mogul is married to Connie Ferguson and share a film company.

The Queen star recently underwent a heart operation.
