The 2022 tobacco marketing season has officially opened, with the first bale sold at US $4.20 per kg.
The official opening ceremony took place at Tobacco Sales Floors, being presided over by the Minister of Agriculture, Antious Masuka.
Tobacco (golden leaf) is one of Zimbabwe’s major foreign currency earners.
Meanwhile, the cotton marketing season kicks off tomorrow.
