Denis Virukai a police officer with the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) took his own life by hanging on a tree, it has been reported.
He was based at Charandura Camp in Midlands province.
His body was found hanging today (21 March).
It is not clear yet why he decided to take his own life.
Cases of suicide are now very common among members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
Many are killing themselves to cover scandals ranging from love affairs, theft, corruption and disputes with their spouses.
