Schools to close early this term, July 26

All Zimbabwe schools will close on 26 July to make way for 2018 general elections slated for July 30.

DEVIATION OF THE 2018 SCHOOL CALENDAR

Following the proclamation of the 2018 Harmonised Elections scheduled for 30 July 1018, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education advises that schools will close for the Second Term an Thursday 25 July 1018 and open for the Third Term on 4 September- 2018.

The opening of school in the Third Term has been brought forward as a measure to compensate for the early closure of Term Two. In addition, schools should put programs in place in order to ensure that no learner is disadvantages
