                                                                                           Senegal  2 Algeria 2

ZIMBABWE is out, see table below..
90’+3 And that is full-time, Tunisia win 4-2 after goals from Sliti, Khenissi, Msekni and a Khazri penalty in the first half were enough to seal their place in the last eight at the expense of Zimbabwe and Algeria.
89′ Musona, arguably Zimbabwe’s best player going forward, makes way for Mahachi.
88′ The referee has had a quiet second half but questions will be asked how Nhamoinesu has stayed on the field after a string of rash tackles.
87′ Katsande catches Azouzi in the crown jewels as they challenge for the ball, the forward gingerly gets to his feet.
85′ The game looks up for Zimbabwe now but they will be pleased with their performances overall over three games. But they should have won their opener against Algeria.
83′ Sliti comes off for Azouzi for the closing stages.
81′ The Tunisians are set to have a four-day break if they hang on here before their quarter-final on Saturday in the same stadium.
74′ The north African side are trying to slow down the pace of the game, they are few minutes from securing their place in the quarters.

69′ POOR EFFORT! A bit of pinball in the box, it falls to Billiat who hooks his effort from 30 yards over. He indicates there was a bobble as he went to strike the ball.

67′ Swift break from the Tunisians, a cross comes in from the right, it falls to Sliti whose drive is blocked by the defender.
65′ GOOD SAVE! Khenissi is put through on goal, it is parried by the keeper and the striker’s header from the rebound strikes the post! What a let off that was

65′ GOOD SAVE! Khenissi is put through on goal, it is parried by the keeper and the striker’s header from the rebound strikes the post! What a let off that was.

64′ Free-kick to the Warriors near the corner flag after Bhasera is fouled. But the delivery from Billiat is straight into the keeper’s arms.
61′ Nhamoinesu concedes another free-kick with another spot of wrestling near the box. Khazri floats in a cross but it’s over the head of everyone.
60′ Billiat with a lovely drag back before firing in a low cross but Abdennour clears, the playmaker is slowly coming into the game.
58′ It was a mazy run from Billiat to set up the chance for Ndoro, could the comeback be on?
57′ GOAL! Ndoro rolls the ball into the net after a first-time through ball from Musona. Zimbabwe have a goal back!
53′ WHAT A STRIKE! Musona shaves the roof of the net with a stunning half volley from 30 yards from a tight angle, he is talented.
52′ It is Senegal 1-1 Algeria in the other game in Group B, so the Senegalese are set to play Cameroon in the last eight.
46′ The Warriors are going three upfront, credit to them for wanting to give it a go and try and pull off a miracle.
45’Ndoro is on Danny Phiri off  for the Warriors as Tunisia get the second half underway.
Half Time…
45′ There will be two added minutes.
45′ GOAL! Khazri scores from the penalty spot, the keeper gets a hand to it but it goes under arm and that is 4-1.
44′ PENALTY! Nhamoinesu is penalised for having his arm all over Khenissi while chasing a long ball, poor defending.
42′ GOAL! Terrific control on his chest from Musona, he flicks the ball through two defenders before rifling the ball into the corner to pull a goal back.
38′ Phiri dives in again with a late challenge on Khenissi, he is walking a tight rope. It’s the last thing the Warriors need, this game is already turning into a nightmare.
36′ GOAL! Naguez with a low ball into the box and Khenissi slides in at the near post to make it 3-0.
35′ Zimbabwe have improved in the past ten minutes, encouraging for them and for Algeria fans.
33′ GOOD SAVE! Musona cuts inside from the right, he unleashes a fierce drive which is well kept out for a corner. The set piece from Billiat is a good one and Phiri heads the ball over.
33′ Ben Amor is cautioned for catching Billiat after a smart turn from the winger.
31′ GOOD SAVE! The Tunisians have a free-kick, fairly central, 30 yards out. Khazri’s effort is on target and the keeper tips the ball over. The corner is then caught by Mkuruva.
29′ SO CLOSE! Nakamba collects the ball 25 yards out and his swerving effort goes just wide, decent effort.
28′OUCH! Maaloul is groaning in pain after appearing to twist his ankle. He is going off for treatment.
27′ The Zimbabweans’s confidence looks shot to pieces, a shame considering their impressive display against Algeria.
25′ DISALLOWED GOAL: Msekni’s low shot is pushed by the keeper onto the post, it falls to Khazri who taps the ball in from a few yards out but it is chalked off for off-side.
24′ What do the Warriors do now? They have to ride out the remainder of the half and maybe make some changes at the break.
22′ GOAL! Wonderful move. Msekni trades passes with Slithi before rifling a low shot from inside the box through the keeper’s legs
24′ Tunisia threatening to run riot here! Zimbabwe not playing their game
22′ We are at the midway point of the half and the Tunisians have a deserved lead through Slithi’s deflected strike, they are getting plenty of joy down the flanks.
20′ GOOD DEFENDING: Slithi with a fine ball with the outside of his foot for Msakni who slides in along with the keeper and Zimbabwe clear as the striker is given off-side.
19′ Plenty of time to go but as it stands, the Eagles will play Burkina Faso in the last eight.
18′ We have not seen anything from Billiat or skipper Katsande yet, it’s been mostly Tunisia.
16′ Tunisia win a corner after Ben Amor is tackled in the area. The set piece from Khazri is poor though and goes into the side netting
14′ Wonderful skill from Msakni who beats his man by trapping the ball under his foot. At the other end, Mushewki barges through Abdennour and wins the ball off him in the box, but his shot is well saved. The linesman rules Mushekwi had fouled the defender, that looked harsh.
12′ In the other game, Algeria lead 1-0 against Senegal thanks to Slimani. But Tunisia will qualify if the results stay the same.
11′ LUCKY BOY: Nhamoinesu escapes a booking for a sliding challenge, he could have seen red for that aggressive tackle.
9′ GOAL! The corner is blocked, it falls to Sliti whose low drive from distance takes two deflections and nestles in the back of the net.
9′ SAVE! Khazri tests the keeper with a free-kick which he tried to catch on the ground but it hits his arm and goes out for a corner.
8′  A naughty challenge on Ben Amor from Phiri, that was late. And he is shown a booking and it’s a free-kick 35 yards out.
6′ SO CLOSE! A low cross is played in, Ben Youssef gets a touch on the ball which prevents Mushewki getting on the end of it. The corner is cleared though.
5′ TERRIBLE! Khenissi is put through on goal but a woeful second touch sees the ball roll through to the keeper, he really should have tested the keeper from there.
3′ Senegal have made ten changes for their game against Algeria which has a bearing on which of these teams could go through.
2′ CHANCE! A nice slick passing move from the Tunisians, Khazri with a good way behind the defence on the right flank, he fires in a low cross but the Warriors hack the ball clear.
1′ It looks to be a skiddy surface from the rain, that should make it interesting.
Zimbabwe get the game underway in this scrap for second place in the group with the impressive Senegal having already qualified

It’s a match no team can afford to lose.

With Senegal having already secured  top spot, Zimbabwe, Algeria and Tunisia are fighting for number two position on log table.

There is very little history between Zimbabwe and Tunisia in international African football for comprehensive head to head analysis.

They last played about twenty years ago and the match finished 1 all draw.

Zimmnews.net will give you live scores updates on Zimbabwe vs Tunisia and Senegal versus Algeria match, and live commentry on the Warriors game.

Kick off schedule for both matches is 21:00 hours Central African(Zim)time.

We will also post full starting line ups here just before the game starts and post match report after final results.

Looking ahead of today’s match now dubbed ZIMBABWE vs TUNISIA, there is no clear winner until final whistle.

It will be tough for Warriors but it won’t be a stroll in the park for the Tunisians either.

Zimbabwe is hoping that its best players, Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat will all have a chance to justify the pre tournament media hype.

Without any goals or three points today, this will be something they will want to forget.
