A 53-year old Zimbabwean man will live to rue the moment he decided to assist two men, masquerading as passengers headed for Norton, whom he picked up with his Honda Fit at Whitehouse, in Harare, after the pair turned up against him before robbing the man of his car and cash amounting to US$200.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the robbers dumped the suspect in a bush after they savagely attacked him.
“On 26/03/22, ZRP Norton Urban recorded a case of robbery where a motorist (53) was robbed of a silver Honda Fit vehicle AFG 0051 after he picked two unknown men at Whitehouse, Harare, destined for Norton. Along the way, the suspects attacked the complainant and stole US$200 cash before dumping him in a bush,” said the police in a statement posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the ZRP said, last Sunday, ZRP Beitbridge Urban arrested William Madhuku (35) for possession of a CZ Swiss arms pistol without a magazine at Malindi Transit Shed, Beitbridge.
