Zimbabwe is said to have enough laws to fight corruption, but lacking political drive to do so.

Independent Member of Parliament for Norton Temba Mliswa says the country can successfully fight corruption using current laws.

He was speaking after attending the APNAC workshop for MPs.

“One major takeway from the currently ongoing APNAC
anti-corruption capacitation for legislators is that the country already has enough laws to fight corruption.

“What more is required isn’t heavy on more Bills but the political will to fight corruption,” he said.

Speaking during the event, Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda bemoaned the catch and release tendencies by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.

He added that the country has lost millions due to corruption.
