The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has confirmed banning one its core business, thus lending.
The move follows recent announcement by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in attempt to stop the Zimdollar’s contined free-fall.
According to Mnangagwa some people and corporates were using the loans for speculative purposes, hence the move.
Meanwhile, RBZ has issued a statement confirming the directive.
