The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has expressed concern over cases of theft of copper cables belonging ZESA, NRZ, TEL-ONE and other utilities.
From 20 to 21 March 2022, ZRP Quenspark recorded three cases of theft of ZESA cables while ZRP Hillside and ZRP Tshabalala also recorded a single case each.
The police has called for anyone with information on vandalism of electrical equipment to report at nearest police station.
Meanwhile, President Emmerson Mnangagwa recently warned vandals saying a law will be crafted which will see vandals getting shot on sight.
