Nyabira: Six killed in NRZ train-pick up truck accident today
Six people were crushed to death in Nyabira this morning today, Friday, 10th, after the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a train at railway level crossing.
According to eyewitnesses there were no survivors.
The six died on the spot, the local police confirmed the deaths.
Sources say the driver of the vehicle tried to cross the railway line ahead of a train that was already on its way but failed to do so in time resulting in the deaths.
Names of the deceased have been withheld until their next of kin are notified.
