South Africa mourn Mr Mahuma Paul Rapetsoa, “Bra Paul”
The year 2020 started not so good and it will certainly not end well with the news that veteran actor, Mzansi theatre legend and radio broadcaster, Mahuma Paul Rapetsoa has died. The legendary actor who played the role of ‘Malome Josias‘ on popular SABC 1 soapie Skeem Saam died on Tuesday evening, his family announced via social media.
His cause of death is yet to be made public.
His death was confirmed by his son, Matome, on Tuesday evening.
“It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our father, brother and colleague Mr Mahuma Paul Rapetsoa. “Bra Paul” passed away today at 18:56. May your wonderful soul rest in peace Mokwena,” he wrote in a short statement on Facebook.
Rapetsoa who is widely regarded as the “the king of township theatre,” mentored the late Charles “Big Boy” Maja who sadly died in April. He was saddened by the untimely passing of his protégé.
Meanwhile, fans have taken to social media to express their sadness following the death of Bra Paul.

Sad indeed….i can still hear him render his speech on the 17th Dec 2020 Zone 4 after the show. There was no sign of what we reading now. A very energetic man full of life.He really had so much respect and love for u my brother,and we all know what he meant to u(father,friend n a business partner)
