Zimbabwe and COSAfA football boss, Doctor Philip Chiyangwa has been appointed as the new Confederation of Africa Football(CAF) deputy President for AFCON games during the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly held in Manama, Bahrain.
The appointment comes few months after the Zimbabwean business tycoon staged a sporting coup that ended the reign of Issa Hayatou at CAF.
He became an instant powerhouse after engineering the election of his pal Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar as the continent’s football President.
