High Court judge Justice Rodgers Manyangadze has thrown out Citizens Coalition for Change vice president Tendai Biti’s review application for referral to the Constitutional Court of his assault matter.
Justice Manyangadze did not give reasons, but only read the operative part which states that Biti’s application has been dismissed.
Biti is facing charges of assaulting businesswoman and investor Tatiana Aleshina.
Biti unsuccessfully filed the application for referral to the ConCourt before a lower court.
Aggrieved by the dismissal of his application, he approached the High Court saying he has high chances the application could be granted.
