The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of Trish Barewa (24) for impersonating a member of the Police on 09/04/22 at about 0800 hours.
The suspect was nabbed while clad in a complete Police uniform at ZRP Support Unit Main Gate.
An alert police officer noticed some discrepancies on the suspect’s dressing and interviewed her before arresting her.
On another note, the ZRP confirms a serious RTA which occurred on 09/04/22 at 1730 hours along Harare-Bulawayo Road near National Sports Stadium, involving a Mukumba Bus (Inter Africa).
The driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle before it veered of the road and overturned.
At least 49 people were injured during the accident.
The bus driver ran away soon after the accident and police say investigations are underway.
