Equatorial Guinea ‘dictator’ and ex president Mugabe’s longtime friend, Theodoro Nguema Basogo is expected in Harare, Thursday for a private visit, high level sources said Wednesday.
“He is expected to arrive on Thursday and set to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Mugabe.
“Plans are at an advanced stage to receive him,” impeccable sources at the Foreign Affairs ministry said yesterday.
“The main purpose of his visit is to see Mugabe.”
The former Zimbabwe strongman is said to be in bad shape since his fall from power.
Mugabe seems to have lost his memory since he left office.
Last month he told an international television interviewer that there was no way his wife Grace could ever become president because she was not even a member of the party- ZANU-PF.
Many were shocked to notice that Mugabe could not remember that his wife(Grace) was a member of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front and was vying to become president.
