Herbert Shumbamhini a ruling party official and Mnangagwa ally who lost his farm in 2014 to former president Mugabe’s daughter Bona and her husband Simba Chikore, has reportedly repossessed his farm.
Shumbamhini, who is also Zanu PF’s Mutoko South parliamentary candidate, yesterday reportedly confirmed getting back Divonia Farm.
“I moved in recently and I have begun resuscitating everything here. They had destroyed my property, including the house and boreholes. I was left with nothing. I lost my cattle and farming equipment. I am currently trying to rise again. I have no vendetta against them (Chikores),” he said.
Shumbamhini believes he lost his property because of his links with Mnangagwa’s Lacoste faction.
Simba Chikore refused to answer questions when asked to comment on the issue. news day
