LUSAKA: Senior Zimbabwe opposition figure and former finance minister Tendai Biti who was arrested early today as he crossed Chirundu border into Zambia to seek asylum; managed to cross after he was released by Zimbabwe authorities, sources said.
Exiled former cabinet minister Jonathan Moyo has claimed that Tendai Biti is now safe and sound in Lusaka where he was allegedly granted political asylum by the Zambian government.
