Zimbabweans in the diaspora have something to smile about after one of their own won a seat in the UK council elections held on May 2.
Thabiso Mabhena is the new councilor for Blackheath Ward in Sandwell Birmingham.
He polled 726 votes with the Conservatives coming in second with 620 votes.
